XF just made a new killboard on the first (or thereabouts). AFAIK, this is the first real "killboard" that XF has had. This should speak volumes as for where XF lays it's claim to PvP. The majority of XF still doesn't even know about our killboard. Probably 3/4 of our alliance doesn't even stay active on our XF forums. And probably fewer than that even car about these Eve-O forums anymore. It is our killboard, not our lossboard (although it now allows for that). XF, as a whole, doesn't really care about PvP, why does everyone think that we should keep our numbers straight for the enemy's purposes? If we lost a ship, the guy who lost it already knows that. The person who destroyed it got the kill mail. Look at your killboard, look at ours. It's really that simple IMO. We're not here to get in a ****ing contest over it. If you killed someone, show the killmail. It works both ways, no need to double our efforts for things that are not all that important to us anyways. If we were a PvP entity, then this may be the standard tool in which XF were judged. But we're not, so that standard doesn't really apply to XF. Our members are not forced to post kills or losses on our XF killboard. I think all of you know this though, so the point should really be moot.
I couldn't really have put it any better myself. If it's called a kill board it should be treated as such. Much of XF doesn't care about PVP at all, so the fact that they don't post their barge losses and such in the kill board doesn't really suprise me. I'm PVP oriented as well, but someone from MASS said they thought CLS was a PVP corp. I don't know if this is a common misconception or what. CLS, like many corps, has a PVP division, however Out of 500 members the majority are miners, agent runners, and builders. As was also stated by krapz, we recruit people looking to have fun.
Someone else brought up the recruitment of Moo... we felt that they would be a great learning tool for some of our pvpers. We learned a great deal of information from them, but most/all have since left us now. CLS for a long time was full of Earth and Beyond Refugees, and I don't think anyone could have seen us grow to this point.
As much as I care about PVP, I care more about having FUN, in a GAME. That's the way alot of us feel. Not everyone loves PVP like our agressors do. It's very hard to compare the two.
On that note, I feel that this war has been loads of fun for me. I'm enjoying the fights in feythabolis, we lose ships, you lose ships, and As Krapz said, this war is a victim of time zones. I encourage both sides to keep it up, and like ATUK Said, if an alliance isn't strong enough to control their space, they shouldn't have it. Period. ----------------------------------------------
